Dear Abigail
by The King of the Strawberry Patch
(two older strawberries talk of the finer things in life)
Abagail, dearie, now don't you just think
That those two men of ours
Should be thrown in the drink?
Why, running around
With those unripe young things:
I'll get out the rolling pin:
I'll clip their wings!
Men are so silly: they make such a fuss
About little green berries:
Not red ones like us.
You'd think that they'd learn
Us old girls can't be beat:
The older the berry . . .
The sweeter the meat.
