Tired of hanging around with nothing to do?

[webup.gif]

Here are some links and things that I found to me of interest to woman of all ages.
If you know of other places that you feel should be included here, please drop me a note.

Just a little soapbox time first..... please...??? LOL!!

Let me say that you may see some things repeated on pages, but since I have so many pages I do put "special causes" on more than one page. I just want to be sure that those who do not have time to visit the whole site may still see what I believe to be important issues.

Just remember that some of us are worker bee's and have careers while others of us are queen bee's and have to stay near the hive.  But this is our choice and doesn't make either of us any better than the other!  I hope to put things on this page that both will enjoy.

Ok, now go have fun kids... hehe..

Know that you are special!

Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Do not set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.

Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless. Do not let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future.

By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life. Do not give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying, it is a fragile thread that binds us to each other.

Do not be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave. Do not shut out of your life by saying it is impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give love; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly.

In addition, the best way to keep love is to give it wings. Do not dismiss your dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope; to be without hope is to be without purpose.

Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

What Really Matters

On a positive note I've learned that no matter what happens or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will get better tomorrow.

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, You'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life."

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you, but if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work, and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone.

People love that human touch _ holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn

I've learned that you should pass this on to someone you care about. I just did.

I received this in an email and felt the best way to pass it on was to put it on a webpage and that way it would reach many more people. It is a good lesson to share. I don't know where this originated. If the author contacts me I will be happy to give credit.

Did You Know?

www.CareAct.org
In most states the penalty for an adult who rapes a child is twenty years plus - UNLESS that adult happens to be related to the child - in which case the maximum sentence could be PROBATION. There is legislation now pending in Congress to change all this.
