Japanese Lantern Tutorial

by Berry

This tutorial is written in and for PSP Version 7.04 and assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP. I am sure this can easily be done in other versions with path modifications.

For this tutorial you will need:   30 day trial

This pattern: copy and open in your psp
(or use a stone of your choosing)

My selection files.. download HERE Save the selections to your selections folder in PSP. (Or open them to your workspace in psp7.

If you are not sure how to do this, you can learn here

If you need a little refresher course to learn how to work with selections, this is the place to go!

Ok lets go... :o)

open new image 500 x 500 transparent 16.7 million colors
Save as lantern.psp
(this is large but you can resize later)
All selections will be on a separate layer.

I name each layer by the name of the .sel file but you can do as you like. It makes it easier for me to remember which layer is which. In this tutorial you do everything as you go so you don’t really have to name them.

Remember to SAVE OFTEN!!

Then you can open layer 1 and use as a background.
