Berry's Paper Doll Bunny Tutorial - Something Different
Page 3 - Dress up Directions

This is the 'talk' page and, except for the face part, is completely unnecessary!!

Shift-D to make a copy to play with and Close original.
Save the new one  as a .psp and play with this copy.
The original copy will be there for you when you want it.

Now he is ready to dress up.. Or is "She" ready to dress up?
Ok, Let’s play.. Lol

Unzip the bunnygraphics.zip and open the psp files to your workspace.

Add new layer name it FACE

First Notice you have two files:
sb_male_details.psp
and sb_female_details.psp
Choose whether you want your bunny to be a boy or a girl.

Click on the one you want to use and save
then click on the bunny graphic and paste as new layer, and place the face where you want it like this:

(the nose is not included in the details so it will be triangle or round depending which you chose when you made the nose)

CTRL-S

Ok, at this point your creativity comes into play :o)

You will add a new layer and name it "whatever you want" - to tell you what you have put on this layer.  I like to put each addition on its own layer so it is easy to move around with the mover tool.

Next you will find a basket, some eggs and a bow. There is also a graphic of 4 eggs that you can tube or play with. Each of these are in .psp format. You can open them and copy then paste as new layer into your bunny graphic to make a scene. You can colorize them as long as the layer they are on is selected.

Here is what the basket looks like. As you notice there is no backside to it. This is so that you can add things to it with ease.

make a new layer name it basket
click on the included  image
sb-emptybasket.psp and save
click on the layer named basket and "paste as new selection".

You can move the basket around to where you want it then click the mouse and it will stay there.

If you want to resize it, do this before you save from the .psp file.

(hint: If you resize and then copy, to paste in the other graphic, but "don't" save, the basket will go back to it original size when you close it. This is also true with all of the .psp graphics included  here. )

If you don't like how it looks, just delete that layer and do it again!!

Ok now you have your basket.. what do you want to fill it with?? Eggs?

Ok you can use them as they are or colorize them, before you copy and paste them.

Suppose you want to make a chocolate egg, or a gold egg??? Just pick one of these eggs in the .psp format
and highlight this way:
Selections/select all
selections/float

now you can use any of you filters, eye candy, blade pro on the egg to get different effects. If you like it save as a different name in psp format.

Now, you ask... how do I put them into the basket?

activate the basket layer by clicking on it in layer view
(see a good reason to name each layer)
make new layer name it BASKET FILL
add your eggs either on one layer or separate layers
When you are finished filling your basket take all the filling layers and
layers/arrange/move down
(this places them below the basket and looks like they are inside the basket)

Or you can go to layers view and
drag and drop the fill layers "below" basket layer

Another way is to place a new layer on TOP of the basket and put your basket fill on there.. then use the eraser tool to erase  any fill that covers the basket so it appears to be 'inside' the basket'.

So.. You see there are many ways of doing things now that you have your basic Paper Doll Bunny!

I know, this may sound confusing now, but believe me when you start playing with your Paper Doll Bunny, you will not even want to read this part...!! :o)

You may refer to it to see how to pull a layer down or how to copy and paste and egg but I hope you will take liberties here and just have fun!

Don't forget to use your tubes too!!

NOTE:
If each layer is named you can go to layer view and click on the proper layer to make it active to delete if you change your mind or if you want to add more to a certain layer.  Or you can copy (shift-D) each one and colorize them before you save and paste to the bunny graphic.

Remember you can always UNDO if you don't like something and also you still have your original Bunny Image to bring up and make another copy of so have fun!

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial.
