| We are a group of
women dedicated to promoting equality, encouraging diversity, supporting
and empowering each other and honoring the older woman's wisdom and
achievements. We come from all different
walks of life sharing our vast contributions to family, community and to
our own aging process. We are daughters, wives, mothers and grandmothers
offering to all women, the legacy of wisdom and respect. We are willing to assume
responsibility for teaching the value of life to all generations and
take our rightful place as an "Elder." Collectively we hope to
enrich and contribute to the well being of our families and to our
communities. Part of our mission is to encourage and teach family
values. This, we feel, can be achieved by offering women and men an
opportunity to discuss issues of concern relating to our sons, husbands,
fathers and significant others. During these special events a separate
bulletin board will be used, thereby not infringing or intruding on the
privacy of our "Crone" bulletin board. We dispel the myth that women
are no longer attractive and sensual simply because we have reached
mid-life. We have arrived into our own right understanding and
appreciating who we have become. We are dedicated to the healing of our
minds, bodies, emotions and our spirits and we will remain tolerant,
accepting and respectful of each other and of others. We have come together to celebrate our "Coming of Age," and to acknowledge the wisdom we have gained throughout the years. We are... "Crone ~ Wise Woman ~ Elder" |
